Maximum inner quality

Rootstocks are a focal point of our nursery’s production. These are sold both at home and to other European countries. In order to be able to guarantee the best possible inner and outer quality, our plants are cultivated tenderly and with ongoing checks.

AGOZ – The German Planting Material Ordinance

In order to enable the best inner quality, our rootstocks are certified in accordance with the Planting Material Ordinance for fruit, vegetables and ornamental plants. The mother plants used for propagation by cutting are cultivated from elite plants from the Saran house. Our plants are inspected for virus infestation each year visually and at random in the laboratory by the Plant Protection Service of the State of Schleswig-Holstein.

German brand nursery

Our business is recognized as a German brand nursery (Bund deutscher Baumschulen (BdB)). It is tested every two years by an independent agency. Some of the aspects checked are plant quality, plant health, crop rotation, varietal purity, plant protection within the meaning of integrated production and ecological aspects.

Technology that goes easy on the plants

By using the most modern harvesting machines, we are able to harvest the rootstocks without damaging them. The plants are stored in our ceiling cold storages at 96 % relative humidity and 0° Celsius to keep them in good shape until they are called for. So you can call for our plants just in time.
